Transcription

A transcription service is available for hard to read documents or those documents such as wills which contain old handwriting styles. Prices are dependant on the length, quality and legibility of the document and are agreed following sight of the document and discussion during the free initial consultation.

Transcriptions are provided using the semi-diplomatic convention - the original spelling is copied exactly, but where any suspensions or contractions of words occur these are provided in full.

Transcription reports are typed and include full notes on the text, writing hand and any idiosyncrasies seen within the document style.
