Toni has worked as a genealogist for over ten years and has a passion for finding out about the past.
What originally started as a hobby quickly developed into a second career as a freelance genealogist. Since gaining her MSc in Genealogical Studies, Toni has worked as a postgraduate tutor on the Genealogical, Palaeographic and Heraldic Studies Programme for the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, a role which she continues to enjoy immensely.

When undertaking research, Toni adheres to the Professional Code of the Register of Qualified Genealogists and the Code of Ethics of the APGen. As a registered Data Controller she is required to comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 when handling personal data and adhere to prescribed data protection standards and principles of good practice.
Compliance with these codes, standards and principles includes upholding the values of integrity, honesty and fairness, ensuring that any personal information is kept securely (including the restricted use of electronic cookies), that the privacy code of the ICO is adhered to and that the use of any personal information is never shared with third parties or published without prior consent.
