Included in all fixed price and bespoke research

Frequently used genealogy websites which incur annual subscription costs are included. The sources used as standard inclusions are birth/baptism, marriage/banns, death/burial, census/directory and military.

Digital (pdf files loaded to a USB storage device and/or email files) and hard copies (optional) of the research findings are provided upon completion of the research for each of the following:

  • Descendant or ancestor report
  • Pedigree chart
  • Kinship report showing who's who
  • Place report showing where individuals lived
  • Surname origins report plus UK & world surname distribution maps for 1881 &  1998
  • Family view report for the principal families or individuals researched

In addition, a copy of the Gedcom file (Genealogical Data Communication)  can also be provided.

The reports are bound and can be personalised with photographs. Any archaic medical terms or obsolete/historic occupations contained in the reports are clearly defined. Historic monetary values such as those seen in many probate documents, are converted to present day rates for comparison.

Timescales

Simple three generation reports should take no longer than 3-4 weeks to compile. Four generation double surname reports take longer (5-6 weeks) and four line reports (7-9 weeks). If you have a particular deadline such as a wedding, an anniversary or a special birthday there may be some flexibility in these timescales to accommodate your research request.

Payment

50% of the agreed costs are taken at the time of commission and are payable by BACS or IBAN transfer to Origins Ancestry Ltd. Full remittance of the outstanding balance including any additional research costs is payable on completion of the research and within 14 days of the date of invoice. Once full payment has been received you will be provided with your research reports.
